“Arkas Life Center”- İskenderun
After the earthquake in Turkey which happened on February 6th, 2023, Arkas Holding started “Arkas Life Center” project in Iskenderun to provide assistance to the affected families with their transitioning into a normal life.
The campus containing 260 mobile living units with heating, shower facilities, fully functioning kitchens, furniture as well as a separate area for laundry-cooking and dishwashing, a children’s playground, a basketball court, 238 televisions donated by Yang Ming Anadolu.
A space filled with books, culture-art and activities for children: Monreve Library
Mon Reve library created through the collection of 1,000 books which were donated by Arkas Sport’s fans, along with the purchase of 3,500 books as part of the project, has been built and welcomed families to their new life by April 20th, 2023.
As of today, the campus accommodates 1000 people with physical disabilities and the execution of operations of the area has been transferred to AFAD (Türkiye Republic Disaster and Emergency Management Directorate).
Romar Shipping ran for earthquake victims
In response to the earthquake disaster on February 6, Romar Shipping Agency took action to send help to the affected people.
Also Romar Shipping Agency participated in the “Family Run” Race, whose contribution is supporting the “Circuit of Trust and Hope” project ,mixed teams of the Association “Donate wings” and the specialized medical staff of the pediatric onco-hematology department from Constanta.
The Donate Wings Association fights for the lives of children with cancer and other serious illnesses. For four years, the Association has been going to the homes of children with cancer in Constanța, Bucharest and 8 neighboring counties, for medical care. Thus, the little patients stay with their loved ones as much as possible, without spending hours at the hospital.
